Why do recruiters set up on their own?

Around 6000 new recruitment businesses are set up each year. And, of these new startups, roughly 4 in 5 won’t make it past the first two year. So, the motivation behind why you want to set up a recruitment business is important, and one I always ask prospective new recruitment partners.

What I’ve discovered over the years is that there isn’t one overriding reason people want to set up a business; there are a whole host of reasons from simply wanting to earn more money to wanting to create something better than they have experienced in their careers.
