Given the escalating humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine after the Russian invasion, we wanted to find a way of providing some tangible and targeted support to the people of Ukraine. We chose to donate £5,000 to World Vision’s humanitarian appeal.
World Vision is the largest child-focused private charity in the world, with over 30 thousand staff working in over a hundred countries protecting vulnerable children by tackling the root causes of poverty. Through World Vision, every 60 seconds a family gets water, a hungry child is fed and a family receives the tools to overcome poverty.
World Vision sent Davidson Gray a handwritten note and a photograph following our pledge, explaining that our donation was used to provide 45 Ukrainian-speaking psychologists to give psychological first aid to children caught up in the terror of the Ukrainian attacks.
World Vision’s transparent approach gave us peace of mind that our donation was making a real-world difference to the lives of children within Ukraine.
